Alright I will start on my Comex post since I am so bored.
No pics though. It was a very good experience for me and I dont regret it despite the biasness in the company.
First thing first, the basic is 40 bucks per day, about 1030am to 11pm. Every laptop you sell you get $10, some days, when you hit 10 laptops and above, you get $15 comission per laptop. On the last day, some more expensive models, you get $15 commission too as its harder to sell the high end lappys. Every night the top seller gets 50 bucks cash and overall top from the 4 days gets 100 cash. I made 600 bucks plus minus from the 3 days of work. Pretty good achievement for a newbie like me, some of my colleagues only made 300 bucks or so for working the full 4 days.
You really need to be patient and be confident of the products. You need to have a honest face, I tried my best to get all the freebies I can for my customers. I mean, whats the point of letting my boss earn the mere few bucks? She has a couple of porsches at home and she's branded from head to toe, she's only 28, entrepreneur. So share the wealth and share some love! (:
Tips when shopping during this IT fare
1)Best Price List
There is this top secret which is called the Best Price List which all the sales person will have, it contains the lowest price the customers can bargain until. So next time when getting a lappy, ask for the best price they can offer.
2)Different companies offer you different deals despite selling you the same laptop
Also, lets talk about companies, under each big booth brand like Toshiba, Fujitsu, Hp etc, there are a few companies selling the same brand SO always check out with company is offering a better deal. Its best to say this to the sales person, "i want this toshiba laptop, but the other company is offering me this and this and that, whats your offer." Usually, the managers will try to outdo the other companies by giving you more discounts or freebies cuz they dont want to lose to competitors. There was once my company was fighting with another company for a customer and the other company actually made a lost by selling the lappies at a loss. Reason being, they did not meet their quota so they would rather sell at a loss to meet quota so less scoldings from the top I figured.
3)Do not commit to the salesperson
Next, they will always ask you, "Would you really buy NOW if I give you the discount and freebies you ask for? If you come back later, I will not offer this same thing anymore." Okie, this is a truckload of bullsht. They will still give you the same discount and whatsoever when you come back later.
OKie. thats all for the tips. Moving on to what I have learnt from this.
1) TIME=MONEY
For the very first time in my life, I really feel this statement, TIME=MONEY. Each toilet break I go, each time I text on my phone, lunch break, I feel as though I am losing out alot of customers. I tried to hold my pee cuz its almost impossible to go toilet at the human traffic jam quickly. Everytime I go toilet, I am afraid that my customers wont be able to find me if they come back and if they buy from my colleagues, I lose my commission despite explaining so much. Its really survival of the fittest. For the first time, when I lost my voice, I feel as though I lose everything, no chance to work and to be honest, I was really afraid I wont be able to work for the next few days. I know everyone knows this fact that time equates money but honestly, this is the first time that such fact is heavily emphasized on me.
2) Dont judge a book by its cover?
OKie. This is true. Those that talk alot with you, leaves you with an impression that they are getting will never come back. Those quiet ones who listen to your explanations without any questions will come back to you and buy it. I really shouldnt have form impressions so quickly. Cuz most of my buyers are the unexpected ones..
You know what, I just watched the Xiaxue's kissing video, I didnt even finish watching and I totally freak out and close the window when they kiss. One thing I know for sure, I cant be a lesbian and I have no interest in kissing a girl. I think that kissing scenes in romance movies are so romantic and lovey dovey but this new video is definitely not my cup of tea. haha
And I am abit lazy to type already.. Hopefully I will continue later. Okie. its only 3.30pm. half a day more before babylove comes back sigh..
